One of the most effective and popular cold weather boots ever devised. Designed in Canada, and produced in both Canada and the U.S. (Depending on the specific contract), these boots were designed to handle temperatures down to a whopping -40 degrees Fahrenheit! If you know about the U.S. white "Mickey Mouse" boots, these are the Canadian version of those performance-wise. From peoples' personal experience, and reviews online from a long time ago, these are more flexible and slightly better to wear than the Mickey Mouse boots. Either way, these are made for some really cold weather. Amazing for hunting or trekking through the woods in the winter.
Featuring a heavy duty rubber sole with canvas upper. These tie slightly tighter than the mickey-mouse boots, so that's a plus to me. They also cover more, riding just below the knee.
Sizing is in U.S. sizes. Apparently, these are sized like the mickey-mouse boots, which means they are larger than what's marked to allow for the wear of thick wool socks. In my experience, these boots are so incredibly warm, especially if you're walking, that one pair of cotton/thin wool socks is just fine, but then there's a lot of extra room. SO, what I'll say is, if you want a more snug fit, order a size below, but if you want to have some extra room like I described, order your normal size.
These are in unissued condition and come with the heavy duty felt liner AND insoles. Extreme cold winter boots are VERY hard to find these days ESPECIALLY in human-sizes. Once these are gone from my source, I doubt they'll ever be available again, so don't wait! I personally have kept a few pairs, as they haven't made this model in a while and they're very comfortable.
