ww1-german-m17-stick-grenade
WW1 German M17 Stick Grenade- Replica

This is something I've been working on for a while, and am VERY excited to finally carry.

These replica M17 German Stick Grenades are the result of trying MANY different manufacturers, and only finding ONE that would be willing to make them anywhere close to the originals. The result is awesome, and I'm so happy with them, I'm keeping several for myself.

These feature metal heads and hardware, and a very nice un-finished wooden handle, just like the originals. The heads have a metal belt hook for attaching to belts or ropes while on assault. The bottom cap unscrews to reveal a pull cord with ceramic ball, making these look just like an original.

Stormtroopers favored the stick grenade as an offensive grenade, because they could be thrown farther, and more accurately than other models. This is a replica of one variant of the "M17" grenade seen from early 1917 through the 1930s. If you've got a mid to late war impression, or especially a Freikorps/Weimar impression, a few of these clipped on to your belt are a must-have.

Now. How mine are different than all of the other ones that pop up on the market from time to time: The handle shape is the biggest thing. Others make the handles too skinny, and pattern them more like the M24 handle, when the WW1 variations had a more beefy and more tapered appearance. The skinnier part of the grip wasn't that big, and this manufacturer used many different original examples to come up with this shape, and it's spot on.

Other grenades also have a coat of polyurethane on them for whatever reason, and mine don't, just like originals. this means if you want to add grime and grease, or stain them a particular color for aging, you can, but they come as they would have arrived at the front in their original crates. Some of the handles have a yellow-ish hue to them, but that's just from the wood itself, not any chemicals or anything added to it. The markings are also copied from original examples.

These are 100% inert, and can NOT be made live in any way, in accordance with BATFE regulations, and are only toys/replicas. Since they do have metal parts on them, the following applies: These CAN NOT AND WILL NOT be shipped outside of the United States, FPO or APO addresses or to the state of California in accordance with California Penal Code 12020.
