So this is one you'd have to REALLY dig deep to find. This is an original WW2 Front-Seam, Fix-Bail shell with a repro chinstrap. The shell itself was used in Reveille. Now, for the really cool parts: This features a SUPER high quality SM Wholesale 1st Pattern USMC Reversible "Frogskin" helmet cover that is so close to the original pattern and cut, it's hard to tell the difference even tell if they're faded.
The liner: So this is a super high quality reproduction St. Clair low-pressure liner made in TINY batches 100% in the U.S., and a few years back I managed to score one. Beautiful rayon webbing with fixed chinstrap. These things are super expensive and you'll be the envy of your Marine reenacting unit or other collectors, as original low-pressure liners are almost non-existent.
I wasn't going to part with this, because it's so cool, but it's been sitting around collecting dust when I know someone else will appreciate this awesome beauty more than me. The sweatband is a fixed size about 7 1/4. You probably won't find another one of these, so if you have been looking for something like this amazing piece, might want to act fast before someone else grabs it.
