In WW2, the Waffen SS experimented with a bunch of different camouflage uniform pieces and patterns. One of those things was a camouflage face veil. in 1938, these were mass produced and issued to as many SS soldiers as possible. Early in the War, it became apparent that while highly effective in stationary roles like Machine Gunners and Snipers, on the move, these could get in the way, and were often times discarded, resulting in a steep dropoff of field use as the War progressed. These actually work quite well and are not only a must-have for WW2 Reenacting and collections, but are also quite practical for hunting as they can be worn over a hat or just on one's head without a helmet.
The originals were made from rayon cord and secure to the helmet via a cotton duck canvas strap with elastic, so that's what we use for these. These are a faithful HAND WOVEN AND MADE replica of these extremely hard to find and rare pieces of gear. Made to exacting standards, these are hand dyed in the correct Planetree pattern, and are semi-reversible to Spring and Autumn color schemes (originals were pretty similar on both sides, and these are made in the same way, with the spring side having more green shades mixed in).
These are EXTREMELY time consuming and difficult to get made by hand, so after ordering PLEASE ALLOW FOR 3-4 MONTHS FOR DELIVERY as these are made-to-order. When I reach 10 sold, I place the order so they can all be made at once. The sooner I get to 10 orders, the sooner they get made, so tell your friends if you want to get yours sooner! Either way, expect 3-4 months, and be pleasantly surprised when it's sooner.
