Don't forget these...

For years I've been searching for a boot maker who doesn't skimp on quality and delivers a historically accurate replica of the VERY hard to find Pre and Early WW2 German boot.

In 1933 when the NSDAP came to power, a push to evolve the Reichswehr in to the Wehrmacht began, and one of the uniform items that was changed were boots. Around 1933, the idea for the standard issue to become a pair of tall boots with buckles on the calves became a reality, and Wehrmacht soldiers began wearing these. Utilizing the same concept as the Marschstiefle (jackboots) but with a little more "pizzaz" and elegance, these became popular very quickly. During this time, dozens of variations of this boot were made by many different manufacturers, resulting in such a wide variety of details, it would make one's head spin.

These were pretty quickly phased out by the late 1930s in favor of the M1935 "Jackboot", but remained in service early on in the war due to shortages encountered rather quickly.

I have chosen one of the most "common" variants that seems to pop up in photos and in original examples, with the lower half of the boot being rough-out, and the calf being smooth side out leather. These were issued in natural leather to be blackened by the individual soldier before wearing, which is how you will receive your pair. Steel hobnails and heel irons, with wooden pegged soles and stitching, just like the originals.

ORDERING. I do offer these in regular U.S. Sizes to keep it simple. If you wear a size 10 US, and don't have odd shaped or wide feet, these will be a great fit out of the box, and will break in nicely. If you want a more accurate fit, you can measure your foot from the back of the heel to the front of your toes, and the width at the widest part of your foot, usually behind the toes. Measurement in Centimeters is better for this.

Historically, the issued boots were not custom sized, and were issued in regular sizes to be broken in by the wearer, but if you want to make sure they fit, you can send an e-mail with those two measurements. If you are in between sizes, order a size up as you can always wear thicker wool socks or foot wraps like soldiers actually did.

These are made-to-order overseas, so please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery, although it could be sooner depending on how many pairs are on order at the time. These are WELL worth the wait. If you've been looking for a very nice pair of these that won't completely bankrupt you, you've come to the right place.
