For MANY years, I have tried to find original rank stars, or someone who reproduces them, but had zero luck. Originals are VERY hard to come by, and are usually extremely fragile, as they were made of celluloid and bone. Well, after months of dead ends, I decided to take matters in to my own grubby little paws and figure out how to create my own.
I enlisted some online help to assist me in actually creating a printable version that has all of the correct dimensions as the originals, and after many (and I mean MANY) failed attempts due to the wrong temperature, the wrong material, and the wrong detail quality, I have come up with some amazing stars that will allow you to display rank on your uniforms.
These are printed from a matte PLA by me that resembles the original celluloid almost perfectly, and from more than about 12 inches away, you literally cannot tell that these aren't original. Just sew these on with some white thread and you've got the correct stars used by enlisted men in the Austro-Hungarian military.
These come in packs of 6 because that was the most worn on enlisted ranks. You'd be hard pressed to find these anywhere else.
